Why most SEO ROI calculators get it wrong

Most calculators ask for your keyword rankings, search volume, click-through rates, and conversion percentages. If you're a dentist or a law firm owner, you don't have those numbers — and you shouldn't need them to understand whether SEO is worth it.

This calculator skips the jargon. It only needs three things you already know: what one new client is worth to you, how many leads you want per month, and what you're willing to invest. That's it.

How to read your results

  • Monthly Revenue — the total value of leads SEO is expected to generate each month, based on your inputs.
  • Net Profit/mo — revenue minus your SEO investment. This is what you actually keep.
  • ROI — how many times over you get your investment back. A 10x ROI means every $1 spent returns $10 in new business.

Use conservative numbers

The presets use conservative lead values — what a client is worth at minimum, not at their best. Real results are often higher. A dental patient who comes in for an emergency visit and returns for implants is worth far more than $500. A law firm client who refers two friends doubles the ROI without any extra SEO spend.

If your real numbers look even better than the calculator suggests — that's the point. SEO compounds. The longer you invest, the cheaper each lead becomes.
